Control measure

• Using the menu select Tools > Master Data to access the general master data window.

• From within this screen click on Control Measure to access control measure related master data.

Relevant fields are:

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description
• From: Start date of period.
• Until: End date of period.

 

The current open period is shown in bold.

The open periods are shown in green.

The closed periods are shown in red.

The archived periods are shown in blue.

Define Periods master data: 

Click or press Ctrl + N to create a new entry.

Click or press Ctrl + S to save all created and/or changed entries.

Indicator to define information systems, relevant for the business controls framework. This can, for example, be SAP R/3, SAP CRM, Oracle and Siebel.

Relevant fields are

• Name: Short description
• Version: Specific information systems release; e.g. SAP R/3 version 4.6C, SAP R/3 version 4.7
• Description: Long description

 

Define System releases master data:

Select the System releases tab.

Click or press Ctrl + N to create a new entry.

Click or press Ctrl + S to save all created and/or changed entries.

Indicator to define how much a certain control measure should be performed. This can, for example, be Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.

Relevant fields are

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description

 

DefineFrequencies master data

Select the Frequencies tab.

Click or press Ctrl + N to create a new entry.

Click or press Ctrl + S to save all created and/or changed entries.

Indicator to define the control measure type. This can, for example, be Policy, Procedure, Report or System setting.

Relevant fields are:

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description

 

Define Control types master data:

Select the Control types tab

Click or press Ctrl + N to create a new entry.

Click or press Ctrl + S to save all created and/or changed entries.

Indicator to define current status of the defined control measure. This can, for example, be a implemented, partly implemented or not implemented.

Relevant fields are

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description

 

Define Control statuses master data:

Select the Control types tab.

Double click on to select an appropriate color using the color picker.

Click or press Ctrl + N to create a new entry.

Click or press Ctrl + S to save all created and/or changed entries.

Relevant fields are

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description

Indicator to identify relevant information systems. This is used for having automatically check defined system settings (See also: Norm).

 

Note: detailed screens are only applicable for SAP systems.

 

Define logical system master data:

 

The Logical systems tab.

• Name: Short description
• Description: Long description

 

The Logical system definition sub tab.

• Indicator: Logical system identifier for usage within SAP role.
• Short indicator: Abbreviation of the indicator, which is part SAP roles naming convention.
• Default for development
• Default for production
• Use application settings: The application settings globally set parameters.
  To overwrite these settings: Uncheck the Use application settings to enable the logical system definition SAP logon settings.
• SAP logon password is case sensitive: Check when the SAP logon checks for character casing. If not set, the default in the application configuration will be used.
• Include destination in connection string
  

 

The SAP connection sub tab.

By clicking , the SAP logon details are shown (derived from the SAPlogon.ini file), from which a connection can be selected.

 

On the Logon tab the user details are stored. Please note that the user details are stored encrypted.

• SAP logon: User ID within SAP
• SAP password: Password of user ID to logon to SAP
• Client: SAP client within the selected SAP system
• Language: Logon language
